Spiritual empowerment, initiatic education,
and the restoration of the Christian Mysteries.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to empower humanity with ancient initiatic Mysteries.
Alpha Ωmega Free Church is a free church headquartered in the United States, operating under 26 U.S.C. § 508(c)(1)(A).
Our special Christian mission is to assist in restoring ancient initiatic and ascension practices to living use. The reconstruction of The Books of the Savior is central to that work: an operative manual that brings the rites together into a path culminating in mystical ascension.
The Church initiates, empowers, and guides disciples in the practice. The initiations establish the foundation; ascension is the work at the apex of the path.
THE BOOKS OF THE SAVIOR
The significance of the reconstruction is what it makes possible in practice.
The surviving writings preserve the rites, sacred names, seals, ciphers, and directions for ascent. Reconstructing their operative sequence brings them together for initiation and guided spiritual work.
Five initiations prepare and empower the disciple. The ascension practice then leads through the Twelve Aeons and the Treasuries of Light toward direct encounter with the divine.

Visit the Golden Dawn ↗Both operate as educational ministries of Alpha Ωmega Free Church. Their traditions retain their own identities within the Church’s wider mission of spiritual empowerment.
OUR BISHOPS
David Griffin and Leslie McQuade serve as independent Christian bishops within the Wandering Bishops tradition.
Known as Episcopi Vagantes, Wandering Bishops carry apostolic successions outside the governance of a single established denomination. Within our ecclesial tradition, these successions support the authority to administer sacraments and undertake the restoration of ancient Christian Mysteries.
Explore the apostolic successions ↗BISHOP IOANNES
David presides over Alpha Ωmega Free Church and serves as Imperator of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. A ritual magician and author of The Ritual Magic Manual (1999), his work includes restoring initiatory systems to practical use.
His reconstruction of The Books of the Savior, edited with Leslie McQuade, joins his work as a ritual magician with his episcopal ministry: restoring the initiations to administration and the ascension practice to guided use.
BISHOP MARIA MAGDALENA
Leslie is a trained archaeologist, anthropologist, and geologist whose work joins research with practical spiritual empowerment.
Her experience in experimental archaeology and applied anthropology has contributed to the reconstruction and revival of the ancient Christian rites. She also brings Hermetic, Rosicrucian, and Alexandrian Wiccan transmissions to the Church’s wider work.
A PRINCIPLE OF OUR WORK
Apostolic lineage supports our ministry. It does not make the Christian Mysteries our exclusive property.
Their spiritual inheritance belongs to Christians of every church and denomination. We welcome participation without requiring anyone to leave their existing church.
